The next meeting of the Board of Directors of OIC-CERT was held in Cairo

Representatives of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SCISSS) participated in the next meeting of the Board of Directors of OIC-CERT, the union of CERT Centers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Cairo, Egypt, on 20 May.

At the meeting of the Board of Directors, the activities carried out under the organisation’s 2024 annual action plan were discussed and our delegation provided information on the work undertaken by our country (CERT.gov.az) in the context of “Techniques and Technology”, which constitutes the organisation’s fourth strategic pillar.

Based on proposals submitted by member countries and joint discussions, it was decided that the 15th annual conference and meeting of the organisation would be held in the city of Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

T. Mammadov, Head of Department at the SCISSS, who participated in the event, also provided detailed information during the meeting about the international conference on Cyber Diplomacy to be held in Azerbaijan for the first time. Azerbaijan’s initiative in this regard, as well as the invitation of the participants to attend the event was highly appreciated by the Board of Directors.

For information purposes, it should be noted that the Computer Emergency Response Center of the SCISSS has been successfully representing our country on the Board of Directors of OIC-CERT for eight consecutive years.
