SCISSS conducted an awareness event on media literacy and digital security in Neftchala

The Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SCISSS)  conducts awareness activities in various regions of the country to enhance information security, media literacy and digital skills.

In this regard, the next event was organized within the framework of the “Young Personnel – Neftchala Youth Development Program” implemented by the Neftchala district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party. During the training session titled “Media literacy and communication on social networks”, delivered by Farid Hamzayev, representative of the Computer Emergency Response Team of SCISSS, young participants were provided with detailed information on the role of media literacy in the modern information environment, the principles of safe and purposeful use of social networks, digital communication skills, ways to protect against cyber threats and methods for identifying disinformation and false information.

During the training, participants were also informed about ethical behavior on social media platforms, personal data protection, the features of public communication and the importance of responsible information sharing in the digital space.

The primary objective of the awareness activities conducted by the Center is to raise the level of digital literacy within state institutions, promote the formation of an information security culture and increase knowledge in the field of cybersecurity.
