More than 30 million malicious links were detected in August

The Special Communication and Information Security State Services (SCISS) continues consistent activities aimed at ensuring the regular and comprehensive protection of state information resources against cyber threats.

During August of the current year, monitoring and analysis conducted by the SCISSS identified 39 indicators of cyberattacks. By blocking these indicators, targeted APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) attacks prepared against state institutions were prevented.

During August, as a result of measures taken by the SCISSS, 31,759,074 malicious links across the “AzStateNet” network, 8,408 malicious electronic documents via the “Sandbox” protection system, and 2,850,500 malicious activities through the centralized security solution used by end users of state institutions were blocked.

In addition, using cyber threat intelligence capabilities, two spoofed domains impersonating the domains of state institutions were identified in August and blocked.

The SCISSS continues its efforts to ensure the uninterrupted and secure operation of state institutions in the digital environment by implementing continuous and proactive information security measures.
