Call for the OIC-CERT Global Cybersecurity Award 2026

The OIC CERT organisation, the alliance of CERT teams of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), in which the Computer Emergency Response Center of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service is a member of the Board of Directors, presents the “OIC CERT Global Cybersecurity Award 2026” in order to promote international cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.

For your information, within the framework of this project, in which a representative of the Computer Emergency Response Center participated as a member of the main jury panel, the “Cyber Summer School” project implemented by the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Organizations Association (AKTA) represented our country in the 2024 selection process and was selected as the winner. The project was awarded under the motto “Innovation in Cybersecurity for Progress and Prosperity”.

The “OIC-CERT Award” recognizes all innovative cybersecurity projects from around the world, regardless of country or region, that contribute to improve welfare of society by promoting the digital environment. The award is for selected project(s) that addresses one or more key areas, but are not limited to:

a. People (capacity building, awareness and teaching & learning),
b. Process (policy, governance, norms and entrepreneurship), and/or
c. Technology (systems, solutions and innovations)

Due to the above, the Award Committee has made the call for submissions for the OIC-CERT Global Cybersecurity Award 2026. Applications are open to entities representing the public sector, private sector, international and regional institutions, civil society and academia. This initiative has been designed to encourage applications from around the world in order to share ideas and success stories in the development and implementation of innovative cybersecurity projects that contribute to the welfare of society.
